Here's the output of xev when I triggered it (XF86AudioPlay, line 133). It shows a press event on the right mouse button (button 3), but no corresponding release event, so the computer presumably assumes I'm holding down the right mouse button. (Just to clarify, this is just from the keyboard button press: I didn't press any of the mouse buttons.
Testing after that with xev (not in log), all the buttons apart from the right one fire events correctly after that (left, scroll wheel press and scroll up and down). Also attaching Xorg.0.log. One interesting line: [ 12.072] (II) Microsoft Microsoft® Digital Media oard 3000: Found 1 mouse buttons I've no idea if that's normal for this keyboard, nor whether the missing letters "Keyb" are any cause for concern. It's possible that the mouse button is there to support some of the special buttons, e.g. zoom in/out, but I don't know. ** Attachment added: "Output from xev" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-evdev/+bug/636311/+attachment/1585662/+files/xev.log.gz -- Keyboard special keys interfere with mouse https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/636311 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-evdev in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
