>From .proc.driver.nvidia.cards.0.txt, I see you're using a GeForce 6150SE nForce 430. Looks like you're using the x86_64 kernel. You'll want to keep the current series (185), but you should be able to purge any of the following packages that are installed on your system. Use your favorite package manager to strip these out:
nvidia-96 nvidia-96-kernel-source nvidia-96-dev nvidia-173 nvidia-173-kernel-source nvidia-173-dev nvidia-180-kernel-source nvidia-180-libvdpau nvidia-180-libvdpau-dev nvidia-glx-96 nvidia-glx-96-dev nvidia-glx-173 nvidia-glx-173-dev nvidia-glx-180 nvidia-glx-180-dev The nvidia-96 series (including nvidia-glx-96) is for older cards / computers. But from what I see on the nvidia website, your card should be supported by the latest drivers. -- package nvidia-96 96.43.18-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: nvidia-96 kernel module failed to build https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/634665 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-96 in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
