New crash for me, possibly a fluke. I reverted my /etc/default/grub to simply use the plymouth:debug on the boot line as a workaround, and also reverted my /etc/init/gdm.conf (after trying Seth's workaround). My next reboot looked normal, and X was on tty7, but I crashed very quickly, and not when pressing Enter.
Xorg and plymouth-debug.log logs attached. ** Attachment added: "crash-from-X-on-tty7.tgz" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/625239/+attachment/1566660/+files/crash-from-X-on-tty7.tgz -- X starts on wrong tty: pressing enter after 5 minutes crashes X https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/625239 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
