Here is my brief testing report with Maverick alpha 3 live CD. Maverick Alpha 3 Live CD, Radeon 7000- 32M VRAM, 512M RAM.
With KMS 1. General performance improved than Lucid. 2. Video playback using totem ximagesink - poor framerate, same as lucid xvimagesink - good quality and framerate, same as Lucid. 3. Games Osmos game (hemispheregames.com) - Playable, better than Lucid considering that it is live environment. Without KMS 1. General performance good, same as Lucid. 2.
