This doesn't seem to be an X issue, as “compiz --replace” is working later in your session.
I'll move it to gnome-session, which is responsible for starting things like compiz; it's possible that compiz is getting started before some environment it depends on is ready. ** Package changed: mesa (Ubuntu) => nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu) -- [nvidia] Window manager does not start, must run compiz --replace https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/597765 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
