@papukaija Thanks @sacevedo: Your xorg.conf and lspci shows you're using nvidia proprietary drivers, with regards to that see http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=ODQyNQ it's the latest info I found. Furthermore you may want to try the FIRST step of http://duopetalflower.blogspot.com/2010/04/installing-and-running- nvidia-inside.html to boot the live cd. It didn't work for me, but would appreciate it if you could test it too. When you start the live cd press F6 you can set the kernel parameter there. I typically remove splash and quiet modes.
