Hi Simon, I'm sorry for these other issues, I guess they're dual-monitor related. /This/ particular bug is resolved, though, so if we want to pursue reports for these other bugs we'll have to find new reports.
As far as the mosaic issue while booting, is this in the "extra space" around the screen with the larger resolution? When I boot with two monitors, the screen with the bigger resolution gets a cropped image with some random junk in the "blank" area. Sounds similar to you. I couldn't find a bug report on that, so if you want to submit your own (ubuntu-bug xorg), I'll confirm it for you. The shutdown issue was probably unrelated to the video driver, and the "Unknown Program" issue is almost definitely unrelated to the crash after you were able to logout. If you can reproduce either one, please do submit a report about it. Based on what you have told me, I don't think you have to worry about X crashes during a session. The issues seem to be when starting up or shutting down the session, which is typically much more error-prone. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-nv (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- Display manager in Ubuntu 9.10 not working with dual displays properly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/538346 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-nv in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
