I'm not sure if it's exactly the same bug, but when my X crashes (I have two displays), I can see the mouse pointer jumping violently between the edges of the two screens. I am not using user-switcher - I am just using desktop applications (some terminals, firefox, thunderbird and a touch of java). I can't be 100% sure, but the problem appeared after installing (and rebooting to) the new kernel 2.6.32-22-generic. I have the binary Nvidia drivers, but they haven't been a problem so far.
I will try to see if the bug reproduces with the previous kernel (I have only upgraded to 10.04 for 4 days, so my previous experience might not be concusive).
