@Bryce I think you should reopen this bug since this is a regression from karmic and a friend of mine has the same problem with his card.
Maybe I could help you by providing necessary information about this bug that causes very slow performances in ubuntu and people with this card _SHOULD_ disable compiz to have a system just a little usable.
