i845 Lucid install of today's Daily Build has been running http://ppa.launchpad.net/brian-rogers/graphics-testing/ubuntu/pool/main/x/xserver-xorg-video-intel/xserver-xorg-video-intel_2.8.0-27-g926c7e7+lucid_i386.deb for over three hours now....KMS, quiet, splash. sure did NOT do that with daily build as installed.
Wasn't intel driver 2.8.0 on Karmic last summer? Looks like Brian Rogers has it packaged for Lucid. Thanks so far.....
