You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: openoffice.org
The labels on the menu bar and on several other labels (e.g. on sidebars, tabs in drawing, dialog boxes, etc) are often unreadable. It appears that there is some kind of unusual background behind the letters. Usually I cannot figure out what the background is, but once it looked like my top gnome-panel was being used as a background for the menu bar (this was openoffice.org Draw).
