Karmic 9.10 is not able to properly turn off the monitor either on my laptop nor my desktop. I used an ACPI script to turn off my laptop monitor when the lid is closed, but with the lid open it still shows the screen saver forever. On my desktop, the monitor goes blank but the backlight is still visible. It powers down properly on Windows XP, though, so it definitely seems like some kind of ACPI/DPMS issue in Karmic. -- Monitor Doesn't Turn off With Power Management (Intrepid, Jaunty, karmic) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/289728 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in ubuntu (via bug 436816). _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
