"Workaround in the mean-time is to uninstall -fglrx and use the open source -ati driver instead"
Is the open-source driver used by default? I've never installed fglrx. I have an ATI Mobility Radeon 9600. It's my understanding that ATI has stopped support for the Control Catalyst for my card. What exactly do I do then? I've not installed a driver since installing Lucid, but I know my graphics are not working properly (3d games/youtube videos run choppy and medium desktop effects run slow). How do I use the open-source ATI driver if I'm not already using it? -- Does not support current Lucid kernel (2.6.32) or xserver (1.7) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/494699 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
