I'm not sure if this is directly related to gnome-display-properties, or the underlying xorg settings. But, the syncmaster (in my case 204B but google search seems to indicate this happens to most, if not all, syncmaster monitors) displays the 1600x1200 image as 4:3 with a black vertical bar on each side. I'm guessing that the monitor is incorrectly reporting information about it's screen, and am looking for a fix. I've tried editing the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file with some settings I've found on the internet, but no luck with solutions. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome-display-properties does not recognize syncmaster monitor https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/350260 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
