You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: xorg
Sometimes, usually once-twice a day, my Ubuntu freezes. Everything seems blocked: keyboard, mouse, screen. Ctrl+Alt+Fx does not work, so I can't open another terminal. The only key that is recognized is AltGr+SysReq+B, which reboots my machine. Apparently, the bug appears independently on the application I am using. Other possibly useful informations: on my machine (a laptop Acer Aspire 5612) there is Ubuntu 9.10 installed. I have installe KDE, too, using kubuntu-desktop. I have (more or less) always the following programs opened: Firefox, Thunderbird, Kile, Nautilus, Gnome-terminal, Skype. The graphic card is:
$ lspci|grep -i vga 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
The real problem is that I cannot imagine whose package is the fault! This bug seems related with https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/379250 ubuntu-bug seems not to work here, so that I can't attach its output (to be precise, the lauchpad site fails, and tells me: Ooops! Something just went wrong in Lauchpad.) ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ubuntu freezes too often https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/509632 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
