Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
When booting with USB devices, it stops with the message 'unable to enumerate USB device on port X', X being sometimes 1 and sometimes 2. It is followed by the message 'buffer I/O error, dev sr1, sector XXXXXX' repeated for differing sectors. Ctrl+Alt+Delete is the only way out. Recovery mode returns to a login. I detached all my USB devices and was then able to boot. I suspect it's my cooling pad which has 4 unused USB ports, allegedly USB 2, but I suspect they're really USB 1. This has been an issue on Lucid only, starting today with all updates as of 09:45 EST in Canada.
