I have been watching this thread recently and trying the brian-rogers graphics-testing<https://launchpad.net/~brian-rogers/+archive/graphics-testing> PPA but haven't had any success so far. I can try the xorg.conf thing tonight and see how that goes. Agree this is kind of a big problem! Worked fine with Jaunty, then upgrade = dead!
