The only way I know to get ubuntu out of sleep is to press the power button once, moving the mouse or pressing keys does not seem to wake it up. I think the green line may be important though, unfortunately I am not a xorg developer and have no idea how it works so I don't think I can do much more except to wait and see if a developer looks at this. Thank you for responding to my queries, I think the developer will now have enough information to debug this fault.
