Thanks for your input Akria. I don't know why it attempts to reconnect to wireless as it is connected permanently to broadband via ethernet cable. And I notice when I click on the icon (installed on the top toolbar) for signing in to hotmail, the screens shakes slightly and a flash of a green line appears around the edges - at its worst this has appeared as a series of green line boxes, but that hasn't happened for awhile. I will wait to hear back before creating a new bug report.
