Public bug reported: When logging in, firefox appeared but the gnome panels did not. The user had a LCD display that showed a background and only a single firefox window. (Firefox was returning to a saved location, which was a local flash (.swf) file.)
After a few seconds, nothing happened, so the user hit file->quit on firefox. Firefox disappeared, leaving him with only a background. The screen was unresponsive to right-clicks. The following errors were logged at around that time: [ 7280.255211] usb 2-3: reset high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3 [ 7398.263779] usb 2-3: reset high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3 [ 7430.271373] usb 2-3: reset high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3 [ 7552.240061] usb 2-3: reset high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3 [ 7562.245965] usb 2-3: reset high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3 [ 7608.243820] usb 2-3: reset high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3 [ 7768.955667] __ratelimit: 3 callbacks suppressed [ 7768.955675] npviewer.bin[12686]: segfault at f4c6fd5c ip 00000000f63b7d10 sp 00000000db7cb2c0 error 4 in libflashplayer.so[f5f3b000+993000] [ 7775.109274] [fglrx:firegl_lock_free] *ERROR* lock was not held by 1! There is clearly a flash bug here somewhere, either in the user's code and/or in npviewer.bin. But, there is also an X bug, because X freezes.
