Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
Alt gr doesn't work when trying to choose 3rd level characters using my HP pavillion laptop (swedish layout). Running Ubuntu 9.10 amd64. When pressing Alt gr + 2 for making an @ nothing happens. The blinking courser just disappears. I have experienced the same problem before using Jaunty (32 bit). Luckily then, when I couldn't figure it out the problem went away by itself after a few days. Strange thing is that the only time it seems to work is when writing inside the application Gnome-Do. Because of different architecture? It does not work inside terminal in contrary to related bugs. I have tried the fix suggested in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xkeyboard-config/+bug/410876 , but without any results. ---------- When using "xev" from terminal I get this result when pressing Alt gr (also get the same results when I press left alt-key).
