I've been using Karmic since release, and this bug is still affecting
me. xrandr does not detect the correct resolutions, it seems to think
that the h and v-sync are out of range. However, when the modeline is
added manually to xrandr, I can force it to change the resolution to the
correct one.

After using this for a while, I have reverted to creating a new
xorg.conf file with my modeline included, so I could reduce the amount
of monitor flicker when Ubuntu boots. I know this is a small issue, but
is there not a process to get monitor detection issues like this
resolved? I seem to remember mention of a quirks list, or something like
that.
