Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
Touch pad doesn't respond while typing and for a moment when typing ends. Found this bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/27541 I believe, it's a new feature. I never experienced this in versions older than Karmic. However, I'm uncomfortable with it. I operate the computer quickly so I easily shift from typing to using the touch pad. I suggest fixing this by removing the extra milliseconds (after typing) of deactivation or simply making this "feature" an option but not the default.
