Problem unfortunately persists in 9.10 release :( However, I can now access a tty so I copied Xorg.0.log which you'll find attached.
One monitor ("left") gives total graphical corruption, the other remains black. Accessing a terminal with control alt F1 I notice the right monitor works okay the left one seems confused as to where the cursor is, I have to type over previous lines. Perhaps I should note my monitors are different in resolution. Also note other people are reporting this bug on ubuntu forums, so im marking this as confirmed. If you need any more info, feel free to ask. ** Attachment added: "Xorg.0.log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/34666598/Xorg.0.log ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-nv (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- Ubuntu Karmic Beta will not boot with 2 monitors connected to nvidia card https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/447171 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-nv in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
