Public bug reported: I have no idea if I report right package, but at least it's a starting point. I'm using ThinkPad P16s with second screen connected to HDMI. After some relative recent updates this problem starting to happen, while I didn't have that issue at the beginning.
After reboot everything works fine. But after some screen locks, the main laptop screen becomes unresponsive, whole the second HDMI screen works OK (relatively as mouse cursor is jumpy and overall responsiveness of the OS is affected). What I've noticed using `top` is that if I move cursor to that affected screen suddenly some kernel workers related to GFX start consume 99% of CPU. I can't do there anything as cursor jumps every 2 seconds, only when I move the cursor back to the HDMI monitor, I can barely do something. Like write this bug report. I don't know if you sport this information easily, but I use scaling, that affected built-in monitor is set at 125%, while my main HDMI one remains at 100%. I feel it may be scaling that's broken. This is on Wayland Gnome.
