Hello,
I have this same problem, but it does not always happen, actually it happens
for a few times. Here are the cases:
1. Xsplash starts at boot, and I switch to a virtual console before GDM is
loaded.
2. After I enter my login user & password, then I switch to a virtual console
before my desktop is loaded.
In both cases the hang happens after I try to get back to X (by pressing
Alt+F7), what I see is the xsplas screen and no keys work.
