The fix is seemingly in Xorg but it's a complex piece of software with multiple packages and dependencies. Trying to build Xorg yourself will almost certainly create bigger bugs than this one.
I expect jammy will get Xorg 21.1.4 or later within weeks or months but I don't know the timeframe. The options listed in comment #11 are the only supported solutions right now. If you build it yourself then you will no longer be eligible to ask for help here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2000649 Title: Xorg crashed with SIGSEGV in FreezeThisEventIfNeededForSyncGrab() from DeliverGrabbedEvent() from ProcessDeviceEvent() from XkbHandleActions() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/2000649/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
