Nothing in regular Ubuntu calls 'xrandr --brightness' that I know of. Hence I recommend uninstalling 'brightness-controller' because it's the most suspicious package right now.
Also I would expect 'GNOME' to avoid the problem more than 'GNOME on Xorg' because 'GNOME' has no Xorg server and no support for 'xrandr --brightness'. But still it would be very helpful to test both 'GNOME' and 'GNOME on Xorg'. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1960569 Title: Screen goes dim To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1960569/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
