I am using Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS. It was working fine then PC feeling a little slow so I tried to restart the PC. When it did not respond I forced power off but pressing the power button. When I restarted the PC, the display was working fine until the login screen. As soon as I logged in, the screen went black. I tried to restart it many times but got the same response. No display after loggin into the PC. The keyboard lights for num lock and caps lock are not lit either. However I connected via ssh from another PC and the PC is ON. I got the Xorg log file attached below. ** Attachment added: "Xorg.0.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1870779/+attachment/5502924/+files/Xorg.0.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1870779 Title: [nvidia] Ubuntu 20.04 beta: Blank/black screen after login on an Nvidia-only desktop (GeForce GTX 1060) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-440/+bug/1870779/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
