I figured out a (dirty) workaround at least for the SIS 66x/76x Users.

Adding a "vga=788", starts the fbdev driver and it will be used for the
xserver in the installation too.

I still recommend to fix the boot image Xorg server to recognise
"xforcevesa", but at least this quick hack helps.
