Hi, this bug also affects me, I'm using an ATI Technologies Inc Mobilitiy Radeon HD 3450, installed the patch suggested by Bryce Harrington at https://edge.launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa but the issue still remains.
So in short, when I try to start a new X session with startx -- :1 or xinit -- :1 the screen goes all dark and no matter what I try I can't get back to my original X session, nor even another tty terminal. The attached files inside the tarball I'm sending are the logs for: lspci -vvnn kern.log Xorg.0.log Xorg.0.log.old Xorg.1.log Xorg.1.log.old If anything else is required please let me know.
