The brightness buttons (FN+ F5/F6) show an on-screen pop-up window and move the brightness bar in that window, but actual screen brightness does not change. Also, the touchpad does not work at all, however a few times it did work after a reboot without any recognisable change in the driver or system settings. Ubuntu driver does not load after Ubuntu upgrade (now upgraded to 19.10) and only starts to work (giving required screen resolution) only after installing lightdm.
