*** This bug is a security vulnerability ***

Public security bug reported:

The brightness buttons (FN+ F5/F6) show an on-screen pop-up window and
move the brightness bar in that window, but actual screen brightness
does not change. Also, the touchpad does not work at all, however a few
times it did work after a reboot without any recognisable change in the
driver or system settings.

Ubuntu driver does not load after Ubuntu upgrade (now upgraded to 19.10)
and only starts to work (giving required screen resolution) only after
installing lightdm.
