Please open a terminal and run 'top' in it to find out if any process is hogging the CPU when this happens.
Tip: DON'T run gnome-system-monitor because it uses too many resources itself :) If no offending process is found then the next thing to check is for over-aggressive power management: 1. Make sure you don't have 'tlp' installed. 2. Install and run 'powetop' as root to see if your machine is being throttled to low frequency. ** Package changed: xorg-server (Ubuntu) => ubuntu ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1845541 Title: OS becomes unresponsive when power is plugged in and battery is low To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1845541/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
