It sounds like you're reporting two problems: * Low resolution graphics by default (using the nouveau driver I guess)
* Installing the Nvidia driver results in no login screen, unless you disable Wayland. Since the second problem is already covered by bug 1798790, we should make this bug about the first issue only. But since you've reported this bug with a different driver installed, after the first problem is gone, this bug report is no longer valid. To continue discussing the first issue, if you want to, please uninstall the Nvidia driver to reintroduce the resolution problem, and then open a new bug.
