Public bug reported: Since the upgrade to 18.10, I get frequent freezes when I resume my system (hp elitebook 820 g3) from sleep. The system seems to run, but the screen remains black. Not dark, black, like the screen is off. ctrl- alt-fX do not change consoles (or they do maybe, but since the screen is off, I can't tell. I did not have this problem under 18.04. It seems to be tied to the time the system has been asleep; 10 minutes or so and the system wakes up no issue, but after an hour I frequently need to hard- reset.
