Daniel I think I have solved the problem. The issue was. I decided to change my OS from ubuntu 18.10 to Lubuntu one. Before doing so, I backed up the "Home" onto USB drive up using Deja dup app. Then installed Lubuntu - selecting "erase Disk" option, then restored the Home. After my reply above, I decided to uninstall all the add ons on the Firefox. Restarted the browser & installed the add on. The freeze seem to have gone.
