I can confirm this issue also occurred on a system that was upgraded from 16.04.
(a) Out of curiousity, are you actually able to enable/disable your touchpad on your laptop with Gnome on 18.04? (b) Does not seem to affect old Unity environments but never worked since upgrade to Bionic with Gnome now in use. Linux kernel likely not propagating hotkey event to the now in use Gnome-control-center (or Gnome-settings-daemon) package involved with acting on the hotkey event? The latest kernels have also failed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1760338 Title: Touchpad hotkey 'functional' but has no effect in 18.04 (Bionic) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1760338/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
