I've found the problem (or at least got some closer): It's the display port.
I'm using a monitor with 2560x1440 pixels, connected with display port. The computer has, although tiny, 2xhdmi and 1xdisplay port outputs. when (without nomodeset) lightdm starts Xorg, it works on the display port with full resolution, but as soon as the session starts, the screen remains black. When I use a HDMI Monitor together with the display port, only console and mouse pointer work, not even a visible login screen. but when I use a FullHD HDMI Monitor only, everything works. Now, when I use my 2560x1440 monitor over HDMI, the session works, but does have FullHD 1920x1080 only and thus is somewhat blurred. Furthermore, there's trouble with the mouse, it behaves crazy as soon as entering an thin area on the left side of the screen. So now I have a slightly blurred 1920x1080 desktop, a troubled mouse, and a display-port-monitor connected with an HDMI cable. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1767993 Title: Lubuntu: X11 freezing/low resolution on N3150 intel graphics To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1767993/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
