Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xkeyboard-config
Austrians and Germans have the same keyboards, however, you can only select "Germany" as keyboard layout setting. This doesn't bother me much, but in the new gdm it displays "Germany" as keyboard layout every time I boot the system. It's like displaying "Keyboard layout: US" to somebody from Great Britain all the time. Suggestion: Rename those keyboard layouts from "Germany*" to "German*" to have a more neutral effect.
