** Description changed: Binary package hint: xorg Reporting this on behalf of nagap...@gmail.com. Not using ubuntu-bug because I dont' have access to teh affected system. I'm pasting his info, and will attach the apport-cli log he sent.: Have created the apport-cli report based on Ubuntu 9.04. On this hardware we are unable to install Ubuntu 9.10. During the installation process, when the X comes up the complete desktop just hangs (keyboard, mouse). We also tried installing on different hardware and clone the image of it using Clonezilla (www.clonezilla.org) and tried deploying on this machine. The booting process was fine, but when it goes to X, the complete desktop hangs. We have to do hard reset. Other info: On this hardware, we have to use "Safe Graphics" mode during installation with Ubuntu 9.04. We tried the same on Ubuntu 9.10, but it doesn't help. We need this to be fixed for our upcoming VMware Workstation release. Ubuntu is our default testing platform and we want WS to work fine on Ubuntu environment :) If you need any additional info on this bug, please ping me.
