Wayland is just a protocol, so it doesn't have "backends" of its own.
Actually, desktop environments that support Wayland clients use "native" backends. That means they implement their own logic to interface with the kernel and the hardware. So you would be asking for a mir client that emulates that kernel DRM/KMS layer. I don't think anyone is ever going to do that. >From another perspective though, good news! Mir 0.28.0 introduces support for Wayland apps. ** Package changed: wayland (Ubuntu) => mir ** Changed in: mir Status: Confirmed => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to wayland in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1231454 Title: Wayland on Mir To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mir/+bug/1231454/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
