Not a solution to the bug, but a solution to the problem... I have found that the driver for my graphics card (GeForce 210) has been updated from nvidia-304 to nvidia-340, both drivers being listed in Ubuntu 16.10 as available for my card. Anyone else with the problem as reported can check this by running the following command:
$ ubuntu-drivers devices This will tell you which drivers are available for your installed graphics card, I suggest picking the one marked 'recommended' for your card. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-304 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1634802 Title: Could not insert module To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-304/+bug/1634802/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
