I have the same touchpad on my Asus Zenbook UX501 and I can confirm that it isn't recognized as such by the latest kernels installed from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ : 4.4.19, 4.5.7, 4.6.7 nor 4.7.2.
