You don't say whether there is any reason to believe there might have been a change to address the regression that affects my system. Even so, I will try to get to the store tomorrow and try the new kernel, as you suggest, as soon as I can - maybe tomorrow evening. If it works for me Iĺl let you know, and if it doesn't I'll send you a screenshot before going back to Mint.
