I believe it was the choice for "fbdev" driver that is the workhorse driver these days . . . it's fine, odd that I recall seeing "fbdevhw" listed in one of the logs previously but that didn't work in the xorg.conf file. Possibly changing the display mode is what "smoothed" out many of the topo-like blotches. Later today I'll reboot that computer and see how things go; like does it generate a crash report each time it gets booted, etc . . . or it got it figured out and now it will be "fine"????? Did the "blotches" come back or stayed smoother, really give it a test run . . . . Thanks for your support on this one. : - ) F -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1541082 Title: [PowerMac3,1] Blotchy GUI graphics for images To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1541082/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
