Affects me with UX32VD and external monitor connected. Linux Mint 17.1, Cinnamon 64-bit.
"[drm:intel_dp_start_link_train], too many voltage retries, give up" The Ctrl+F1 and back helps to get out of freeze, but I have to do this a lot. It seems the freeze happens more often if more windows are open.. I already have external usb mouse and external usb keyboard connected, and the external monitor (1920*1080) on micro-vga. ** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #70117 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70117 ** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #73694 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73694 ** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #90451 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90451 ** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #83516 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=83516 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1387134 Title: when enabled nvidia graphics card, desktop freezes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xorg-server/+bug/1387134/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
