*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 439138 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/439138
Hi Timo, Are you sure Bug 435011 and 439138 are duplicates? The 439138 guys are saying that they can log out and back in as a workaround, and that the 100% CPU power grab occurs just after the initial log-in. That is not my experience at all. In 435011, the computer initially boots normally and runs normally for several hours or days. After this, Xorg CPU usage climbs, the computer becomes totally unresponsive, and I can only recover with Ctrl-SysRq-R-E-I-S-U-B or by cycling the power. (very similar to Bug #434416 except different hardware.) I appreciate you looking into this bug. Cheers, Dave -- xorg takes 100% CPU, UI unresponsive https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/435011 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
