Christopher, I have tried in a number of ways to update the BIOS but failed.
The computer does not have UEFI and there is no option to use "Flash BIOS upgrade" when using F12. I cannot burn the iso image for FreeDOS to a memory stick (to use it to install the BIOS update .exe file) and when I burn it to a CD and reboot I cannot find an option for running FreeDOS without installing it on my hard disk. In any case my BIOS only allows me to boot from a disk. I do not have the linux competence to follow some of the other suggestions and am running out of options. Do you know of a simple way to achieve a BIOS update with linux? regards, John 01367 820542 N51°36'49.88", W1°32'32.90" On 01/11/15 17:38, Christopher M.
