I tried to upgrade bios. placing the files on a (FAT) USB pen drive, going in the bios menu and selecting bios upgrade I got a "wrong file format" ?? it also takes ages to boot when I plug in my pen drive. (usually more than two minutes) I tried to follow the instruction of putting EFI files on the pen drive and booting from it but I just can't boot when the pen drive is plugged in, blocked on the MSI screen with my keyboard blinking (blue or green). It took me more than two hours to check everything and try, again and again.
next part : $ sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date E1781IMS.10H 11/21/2014 I will try to upgrade bios again … -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1467609 Title: vibrations on MSI gt72 2qe scren To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1467609/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
