There seems to be some sort of misunderstanding. The bios was outdated but it was 202 (I think) and now it is 204 but this is the most recent version of the bios available.
The output of the command is: N550JX.204 03/05/2015 The bios upgrade did change the behavior but it still crashes though now it seems to get farther into the logout process and even feels like it may actually properly logout but it still crashes in much the same way.
